Fire Warden/Marshal

In the event of a fire, it can take up to five minutes for the Fire and Rescue Service to arrive. Fire Wardens or Fire Marshals play a crucial role in the safe evacuation of your premises before the emergency services get there. Our course gives Fire Wardens the skills and confidence to carry out their duties effectively. It explores their fire safety and emergency procedure duties, as well as providing a practical understanding of how to use different types of fire extinguishers.

As an employer, you are legally required to have enough trained Fire Wardens in place. If you don’t know how many you need, we can help as part of our Fire Risk Assessment service. Duration: 4 hours.

Fire Awareness

Designed for all employees, this course will give them a greater appreciation of fire safety in the workplace. Attendees will benefit from improved awareness and understanding of:

  • the threat posed by fire,
  • organisational fire procedures,
  • any action to be taken in the event of a fire.

Fire awareness training is mandatory for all new employees and periodically (usually annually) for all staff. Offered as part of a package of training, not available as stand alone. Duration: 1 hour.

Fire Extinguisher

Our practical, hands-on course teaches delegates how to use portable fire extinguishers safely. We provide a safe but realistic setting for each delegate to practice using different types of extinguisher correctly. Training can take place at your premises or elsewhere, depending upon your requirements. Offered as part of a package of training, not available as stand alone. Duration: 1 hour.
